A 34-year-old man, accused of murdering his 29-year-old wife in the Free State, turned himself in to police in Musina on 24 January 2025. He now faces murder charges, along with another suspect, 34, who lied to police about the husband's whereabouts. It turns out the second suspect might have been involved in the crime, and his gun has been seized.
Earlier, a 24-year-old man was arrested on 22 January with two unlicensed firearms. He’s already appeared in court and remains behind bars as investigations continue.
The couple, originally from Mutale, was reported missing, and the wife's body was found with gunshot wounds in Kromdraai.
Limpopo’s top cop, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, praised both police and the community for their efforts. The suspects are set to face murder charges, with more possible as the investigation deepens.
